About
Hello, I’m Dr. Nick Patras. I am a licensed professional counselor, LPC Associate supervisor, National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained clinician. I have advanced training in couple’s therapy including Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Method Couples therapy. I have 14 years of experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and career-focused concerns. I gained my clinical experience in inpatient, community clinic, and university counseling center settings. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication from St. Edward’s University in Austin, a Master of Science degree in Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I am a U.S. Army Veteran and a former first responder.
