About
Heather Cohen MSW, a registered social worker living in London, Ontario, Canada. In 2021, I retired from an outpatient mood disorders clinic and started a small online practice. At the clinic, clients became my teachers. I was also enriched by other Professionals who shared their expertise. I facilitated groups, saw clients individually and worked with families. Most clients had a traumatic history and I discovered that mood dysregulation is often a symptom of trauma. I believed that people could heal. So I became educated in EMDR and found it to be an effective treatment, for some people. I am also trained in R-Tep, a sub-specialty of EMDR that is used for recent trauma. As an IFS informed therapist, I have found this approach beneficial for most most issues. I have a lot to offer my clients and my work with them enriches my life. There is nothing more satisfying than to celebrate someone's wellness.
