About
As a therapist, I hope to help you identify experiences that may have created triggers or symptoms that are negatively affecting you and the way you function every day. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2002 and later earned my LCSW. During my career, I have worked with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. I also have extensive experience with the veteran population. I am trained in EMDR therapy, and I am very passionate about helping you heal trauma and to overcome the mental blocks that may be holding you back. My hope is to help you discover your inner resources and strength that will help you become a happier and healthier person. We will work together to build on your resources to help you cope with future experiences. Generally I use a combination of CBT, person person centered, and EMDR techniques to help my clients.
