About
I received my undergraduate degree from Boston University and my Master’s Degree from Hunter College Graduate School of Social Work. I then began my clinical practice as a therapist at a clinic where I focused on treating clients struggling with addiction issues, those impacted by a loved one’s issues with substance abuse and clients who presented with various mental health concerns including trauma, depression and anxiety. In addition to providing individual and group therapy, I also provided supervision to clinicians working toward independent licensure. I specialize in treatment of clients who have experienced trauma. I completed post-graduate education at the Trauma Studies Center’s training program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy which integrates psychodynamic, sensorimotor/somatic, mindfulness and EMDR therapies. My approach includes stabilization, such as decreasing symptoms related to anxiety and depression, in order to promote healthy, contained exploration
