About
Hey girl! I’m De’Asia, a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor in Ohio and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee. I founded Rise Counseling Group to help Black women and other Women of Color manage anxiety, depression, and trauma. I earned my BA in Criminology with a minor in African American and African Studies from The Ohio State University. I also completed a Master’s in Social Work, specializing in adolescent mental health. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Social Work at The Institute for Clinical Social Work. My research and practice focus on psychodynamic therapy, healthy relationships, diversity, and social justice. I’ve worked in various settings, including residential treatment, college counseling, and inpatient psychiatric care. These experiences inspired me to start Rise Counseling Group to support marginalized populations in a nurturing therapeutic environment.
