À propos
Welcome to Willow Therapeutic, a trauma-informed and inclusive therapy practice for healing and well-being. My name is Shelly (she/her). I’m a licensed, clinical, mental-health counselor, offering adult and couples psychotherapy in-person and through telehealth in IL and through telehealth in WA. As your therapist, I strive to create an empathic bond built on trust and understanding, so you feel free to explore historical causes of psychological issues, such as trauma, mood stability, life transitions, and your relationship to yourself and others. I use a holistic approach, based on your presenting needs, and incorporate creative as well as empirical methods (listed below under 'approaches'). Having specialties in trauma care, including trauma sensitive yoga and EMDR, as well as Jungian psychotherapy, I meet you where you’re at and together we inform the other of where you’ve been, where you are, and where you're going, so therapy remains invitational, insightful, and beneficial.
