My work focuses primarily on LGBTQ+ issues and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Many of my clients are gay men who have survived sexual abuse and the trauma of growing up in a world that doesn't want them. However, my work includes clients with many different experiences and identities. It is understood now that PTSD results not only from 'big T' single incident traumas, but also from 'small t' complex experiences that occur over time. This may create conditions that disrupt one's ability to form healthy relationships and create self-worth. I am passionate about helping clients who are ready to do the hard work of healing. We all are born with an inherent drive toward health and well-being. The ‘work’ of therapy is to create the conditions that will enhance that instinct so that one's true self will blossom. My goal is to become each client's ally and provide the conditions that will allow healing to emerge.
