I’m Laura Trapani, LCSW, a therapist in Littleton, Colorado, specializing in EMDR therapy for women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck despite doing “all the right things.” Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, thoughtful, and capable on the outside, yet internally feel exhausted, on edge, or trapped in cycles of perfectionism, people-pleasing, or self-doubt. EMDR allows us to go beyond coping strategies and address the underlying experiences and patterns that keep anxiety and emotional overwhelm in place. I use EMDR to help clients process past experiences—both big and subtle—that continue to shape how they feel, react, and relate today. This might include chronic stress, relational wounds, childhood emotional neglect, difficult transitions into motherhood, or moments where you learned to put your needs last.
