I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am originally from Long Island, NY. I received my MSW from Fordham University in 1993. I provide individual therapy to adults. Over the past 30+ years, I have had experience treating a variety of issues, including depression, substance abuse, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. I am very interested in helping young adults navigate the transition to independence while dealing with issues of identity, sexuality, and relationships. I also love working with other therapists. I am a certified EMDR therapist. My style is active, relaxed, and collaborative. Your initial goal may be to relieve symptoms of distress and to decrease the frequency of self-defeating behaviors. I will also help you gain insight into how your past, present, and future are connected through your patterns of living in and relating to the world. Ideally, therapy will end with increased joy, confidence, and a greater awareness of and appreciation for yourself.
