Bright Awakenings Counseling provides individualized mental health therapy services specializing in helping adolescents and adults recover from PTSD, trauma, depression, and anxiety as well as supporting family members impacted by a loved one's addiction. Julia Reed is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and sole provider at Bright Awakenings Counseling. She helps those who want to brighten their future by overcoming past hurts. Many of us have experiences in life when we did not cope effectively and those memories remain with us. These memories create negative ideas about the self and uncomfortable emotions that may cause anxiety and depression. Through the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma focused approaches, this "old stuff" can be resolved to create a healing lasting change. Julia can also implement a spiritual component, if desired, to strengthen the treatment process.
