I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in practice for 18+ years. I've been trained in, and using EMDR Therapy successfully for individuals struggling with traumatic memories that continue to impact them years beyond the actual events occurrence. Drawing my treatment planning from different modalities (e.g. ACT, CBT, EMDR Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, etc.), and bringing in aspects from current research from fields such as neuroscience, Polyvagal theory, Bessel Van der Kolk, Shari Botwin, and others, allows me to focus on treatment geared to each individual's needs rather than a rigid protocol which may not be appropriate in all cases.
