From 2003, Chiu has worked with autistic people and their families. Since then, she developed proficiency treating and supporting clients across the lifespan experiencing trauma, chronic pain & fatigue, loss & grief, anxiety & mood disorders and minority stress (eg. Autistic, ADHD, medically disabled, culturally diverse and gender & trans questioning persons). Clients describe Chiu as thorough, efficient, down-to-earth, and practical. She works with a strengths-based, trauma-informed, person-centred lens—offering a no-BS, affirming approach grounded in science and values.
