I offer a non-judgmental, compassionate, and welcoming approach to counseling. My belief is that counseling supports opportunities for people to heal, learn, and grow from challenging experiences. I provide counseling to individuals struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, and/or other trauma related difficulties. I vow to offer a safe space, where you can be heard, understood, and have your feelings validated. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) is a form of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy specifically developed for reducing the power of traumatic memories. As a trained therapist, I will guide you to think about a trauma while moving your eyes back and forth, left to right. Over time, this will help your brain reprocess the memories so that they no longer cause as much pain. I am an Emdria certified EMDR therapist.
